Meet the new extraordinarily powerful addition to the product family. With all the capabilities of the PRO, the Watts Up? .Net goes even further.  Internet enabled and power switching!

Ideal for remote monitoring, the built-in web server allows data to be accessed via the internet.  Connect the meter to the public internet (via home or office network) and the meter will automatically output data. Create a free account on the manufacturers website (instructions included in the box) to access the data from your meter. You'll be able to see all the data. Connect a wireless router into the meter's ethernet port, and the meter can be used wirelessly.

In addition, the Watts Up? .Net introduces active energy savings. With an internal switching relay, the Watts Up? .Net can turn off power to the end load based on user configurable rules.

These rules and their associated application include:
  • Time of day Effective when your utility has TOU (time of use) rates, where they charge a higher rate during peak times
  • Peak usage (watts) For commercial accounts, which are typically charged a surcharge if their consumption ever surpasses a peak threshold during the billing month. Having multiple Watts Up? .Net meters can enable you to simply and economically "shed power" and keep you under the threshold.
  • Cumulative usage (wh) Use for tiered pricing rates, when higher usage is billed at a higher rate.
  • Manual on/off For security reasons, rebooting servers, or while on vacation.

The Watts Up? .Net is also available with 4 times the memory with a purchase of 50 meters or more at one time. It is ideal for applications requiring logging for long periods of time.

The EED Watts Up .Net software automatically graphs all the data and includes an integrated analysis tool, called the Payback Calculator, which automatically calculates the time required for a new energy efficient appliance to pay for itself. Monthly savings are calculated, and they are compared to the purchase price of the new appliance. The data and graphs can also be exported to popular spreadsheet and word processor programs for further analysis.

Any of the 19 parameters can be recorded. The inerval can be selected from as fast as one second. There are 3 memory modes:
  • Automatic: the meter will log forever. The interval starts at one second. When the memory fills, every other record is deleted and the interval doubles. When the memory fills again, every other record is again deleted and the interval doubles. For example, the interval would be 1 second, then 2 seconds, then 4, then 8, then 16, etc).
  • Stop: the meter stops logging when the memory is full
  • Overwrite: the meter will log forever, an overwrite the data in memory in a first in, first out mode.

(Mac users are encouraged to use the new .Net model, since the user interface is browser based).
